Meatworks, a cool new hipster hangout is seeking chefs for a new canteen style eatery & bar in South Melbourne. Meatworks is being headed up by Lindsay Jones-Evans, founder of Jones The Grocer and The Victoria Room in Sydney.
Lindsay has moved back to Melbourne and is launching his new 100-seat Industrial canteen style eatery on November 2nd.
We will be smoking, roasting & braising the best meat dishes in town! We are looking for enthusiastic people to work with us to create an outstanding high quality modest price canteen style eatery.
The meat focused menu will be simple using multiple cooking methods, 6-14 hour low and slow wood fired smoker, slow cooked braised dishes & roasted dishes, We will also create great simple deserts and make gourmet sweets like panforte, nougat & turkish delight etc
All our meat produce will be sourced with ethical & sustainable farming practices.
What we would expect from you;

Excellent cooking and food presentation skill
Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills
The venue will be opened in 4 stages.
Stage 1, Lunches Mon-Fri
Stage 2, Weekend lunches
Stage 3, Evenings Tues to Fri
Stage 4, Mornings 7 Days
